Article: For Those Who Showed Up and Stayed

For Those Who Showed Up and Stayed
Some showed up before dawn.
Some stayed after the tears.
Some made a difference - quietly, and without asking.
This is a space for them.
For the carers, nurses, and therapists - past and present -
who gave their time, their care, and often a part of themselves.
To say what may have been left unsaid.
To honour what was given without recognition.
---
The values that guided their hands and hearts:
- Working together for patients
- Respect and dignity
- Commitment to quality of care
- Compassion
- Improving lives
- Everyone counts
---
What is this space for?
It's not a campaign. Not a product.
It’s a page for remembering — for acknowledging.
We invite you to share:
- A name
- A photo
- A memory
- A moment you still carry with you
Whether they were a nurse on the ward, a therapist in a quiet room, or a carer at home —
if they gave something of themselves, we want to honour that with you.
---
How to Share
Post directly on our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575508157070
or email your story to: info@quietthanks.com
We read every submission.
Some may be gently shared (with permission) on our Tribute™ wall or through a Quiet Thanks™ feature.
Because what they gave - often unnoticed, often unthanked - was nothing short of extraordinary.

A Note on Respect
This space is open to all.
But to protect the dignity of those being honoured - and the families who carry their memory -
we gently reserve the right to remove anything we feel is inappropriate or unkind.
